Day 1 video Edits:

Day 1 Audio:

Today I have started to edit video. I found the appropriate audio that I wanted. I gained my music from epidemic sound. Epidemic sound is a website where you give a monthly subscription and gain access to thousands of tracks and and sound effects. I decided to choose audio that was upbeat in order to give the video a sense of happiness. The second audio was deeper and slower which emphasized the depressive mood. The rise and fall in happiness will keep the audience engaged as their moods are always changing. I know this will help engage the audience due to my research gained from my documentary types. The rise and fall in action is what david attenborough uses in his documentary and by implementing that style in my video, the audience should be hooked in. The audience unconsciously takes in audio and it helps them tell the story to themselves. I found it easier to find the music due to watching previous documentary. I used the youtube videos in order to tell the story. Elon musk was in my research and seeing his views, I thought it would be best to include him. He is also a role model to young people so therefore people may listen to what he has to say.

I used a few J cuts in order to help the clips blend together and create a seamless story. The Tik Tok compilation are all perceived as separate clips. But the J clips make the rest seem like one long clip and helps the story flow naturally and keeps a strong continuity flow.

Day2 video:

Day 2 audio:

Day 2 consisted of editing the rest of the video. I included J and L cuts heavily which gave more continuity. This resulted in the video having a better flow. As explained in the videos above, compiling the clips together was relatively easy was mainly time consuming rather than.

Colour grading was a big part of the overall video.

For the parts of the video where I am in my room, the shadows were highly reduced and the whites were lowered in order to give a flat, dull look. Then it added a blue tint preset ontop in order to give a depressing look.

Ontop of just giving the nature clips a basic edit, i added a gold rush preset which gave the nature a golden appearance, hopefully making the audience want to crave the "gold"
